Orangutan mothers are the original attachment-parenting experts. They are nurturing, affectionate, and unfailingly attentive to their beautiful little babies, who are carried most of the day and breast-fed on demand. It’s easy to recognize the love and contentment in the faces of these mamas with their little ones. I imagine post-partum depression is pretty rare in the Orangutan community…
